D.M.D.A.'s history

In 8th grade Trevor would stay the night at jake's almost every weekend and Trevor, Jake and Zach would stay up late watching a show you might have heard of called Jackass.

Pretty soon the 3 would start doing weird stunts in the middle of the night in Jake's basement, and eventually start doing them during the day.

We would film the stunts onto actual videos and could never figure out how to transfer them on to a computer.

The jackass phase died out... But then it came back! Through out the school year and came up with the name D.M.D.A. (Des Moines Dumb Asses) and when school was out for the summer D.M.D.A. officially kicked off!

Trevor saved up some money and bought a flip video camera and the Jackass phase came back. and we started to film our "stunts".

Blake who is our new member actually guest stared in some of the original D.M.D.A. videos one video we shot a nerf dart with a tac as the tip into his leg! it was priceless!

But the operation got shut down...

and we started back up... Again!

We did our stunts for a little bit but soon changed direction into skits we made a couple usually involving Jake getting beat up by Zach in an old man mask always a classic.

Its sad to think but all the old videos we've ever done are now long gone and will never be found again :( we had some good stuff.

But shortly after starting we sort of died off again. Leading us up to Junior year in high school, we started to make some short skits once again and send them to our friends, our friend Collin wanted in and made his 1st appearance in the Date Videos, where he played a terrorist.

The team was finally ready to take on anything! We made all sorts of shorts featuring characters like Frank Frankillin, Whack-A-Dope, and Scott the Animal Lover.

Then someone else entered the picture...

Trevor's cousin Blake, Blake also liked to make videos with his friends and approached Trevor about a film project that comes to Des Moines called the 48 Hour Film Project.

Everyone was eager to participate and Blake joined for the project. We failed horribly at the project and died off once again.

But in the summer of 2010 D.M.D.A. returned and participated in the 48 Hour Film Project once again, We had the crowd going nuts with laughter and that sparked up a flame to start making short videos again... Go ahead and take a look at some of our videos on the video page!
